Midwest Surgical Hospital is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Omaha, NE

We are hiring a Human Resource manager at Midwest Surgical Hospital (MSH), in this role, you’ll partner with the Human Resources Director in managing the areas of talent selection, onboarding, benefits, compensation, compliance, employee engagement, employee relations, and special projects for MSH.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day HR function for Midwest Surgical Hospital, ensuring a positive employee experience and driving a positive workplace culture.
  • Manage the HR Generalist for Midwest Surgical Hospital, including hiring, performance management, and coaching and development.
  • Discuss and assess staffing needs with management and make recommendations. Partner with hiring managers to recruit and select top talent.
  • Overall responsibility for new hire onboarding. Focus on continuous improvement to ensure an extraordinary new hire experience.
  • Educate employees on benefit plan offerings so staff can make informed benefit decisions.
  • Partner with Human Resources Director to drive open enrollment efforts, including becoming a SME on all benefit updates and effectively communicating any changes to employees.
  • Partner with Human Resources Director to administer the Midwest Surgical Hospital 401(k) plan, in accordance with applicable regulations, and participate in audits, as needed.
  • Overall responsibility for FMLA and ADA compliance.
  • Overall responsibility for EEO-1 reporting.
  • Manage workers compensation claims for Midwest Surgical Hospital.
  • Coach managers and provide guidance in the areas of performance development, employee relations and holding employees accountable.
  • Provide employee relations guidance to employees.
  • Drive employee engagement and recognition efforts, in line with the culture of Midwest Surgical Hospital.
  • Assist with the development of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Develop job descriptions, as needed, and ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Participate in developing departmental goals and objectives, as it relates to Midwest Surgical Hospital. Support and meet departmental goals and standards
  • Assess and review performance development efforts, as needed.
  • Drive efficiencies within HCM to meet departmental goals and enhance usability.
  • Overall responsibility for maintaining Employee section of the MSH intranet.
  • Overall responsibility for maintaining personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements and to meet CIHQ accreditation standards.
  • Serve as a role model in the organization and champion organizational culture and best practices.
  • Demonstrate utmost confidentiality with company and employee information and records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, required. SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR or PHR, preferred.
  • 5-7 years of Human Resources experience, required. 3-5 years of leadership experience, required. HCM management experience, preferred. Experience with UKG, a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Current working knowledge of basic HR principles and regulatory

requirements.

  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization and serve

as a trusted, high touch business partner.

  • Ability to design and execute programs that meet the needs of the organization. Demonstrate strong judgment and analytical skills necessary to investigate complaints and recommend solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills with e a proven ability to meet deadlines. Must be able to comprehend policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ability to listen effectively, as well as strong communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy to resolve sensitive

issues.
