Job Summary:
Michigan House Senior Living is looking for a responsible and dedicated Housekeeper to join our team in Riverview, Michigan. This is a part-time, hourly position in the Healthcare/Medical field. As a Housekeeper at Michigan House, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our senior residents.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is an individual contributor role with a compensation rate of $13 per hour, paid biweekly. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work flexible hours and receive paid time off after one year. You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits package, which includes dental, vision, and life insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms and restock supplies as needed
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste according to facility guidelines
- Keep track of cleaning supplies and submit supply requests to the supervisor as needed
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department
- Follow proper infection control procedures to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses
- Assist with the laundry needs of residents as necessary
- Respond to resident and staff requests for housekeeping services in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards residents, staff, and visitors at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or senior living setting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically able to stand, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
