Job Summary:
Michigan House Senior Living is seeking a Part Time Dietary Aide to assist in providing nutritious meals and exceptional dining experiences for our residents. As a member of our healthcare team, the Dietary Aide will work closely with our dietary and kitchen staff to ensure the highest quality food is served to our residents. This individual will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere in our senior living community.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a Part Time position with a salary of $13 per hour, paid biweekly. The employee will also receive pro-rated benefits, including healthcare, and paid time off, based on the number of hours worked.
Responsibilities:
• Assists in the preparation, serving, and clean-up of meals for residents following specific dietary guidelines and portion control standards.
• Ensures timely delivery of resident meals, snacks, and supplements, adhering to scheduled mealtimes.
• Reports any food-related issues or concerns to the Director of Dietary Services.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area to meet state and local health regulation.
• Works collaboratively with the cook and aides in delivery of meal trays and picking up of meal trays.
• Provides exceptional customer service to residents and guests, addressing all dining-related inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards and practices, following established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a healthcare or culinary setting preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of state and local health regulations related to food service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
