The Enterprise Network Manager manages the Network Management group to include network design, operational network security, troubleshooting, and system management within Information Technology Operations for all operational related issues. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.

• Manages IT Network and Security Administrators group to ensure systems operate at appropriate levels of service
• Manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex network designs to meet the organization’s needs
• Coordinates the activities of the network control function of the organization
• Monitors and maintains quality levels for the network and resolves problems
• Provides technical lead to others and serves as the top tier for troubleshooting network performance issues
• Works closely with other IT groups to coordinate system upgrades and installations of new products
• Maintains documentation and standards to help direct the activities of the group
• Provides operational leadership and project management oversight
• Oversees activities of outside contractors to ensure contract terms are fulfilled
• Provides routine management reports
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or other closely related field and seven (7) of progressive experience in implementing complex network and network security technologies
• Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role of a large network in a campus setting
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
• Demonstrates supervisory experience in Network Operations
• Expertise in a variety of the concepts and practices in network technologies
• Ability to apply effective leadership skills to direct technical staff
• Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
• Strong project management skills with the ability to ensure completion of department initiatives and recommendations
• Advance knowledge of network technologies (load balancing, firewalls, IPS, shaping, policing, routing, switching)
• Expertise in Internal Protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, HTTP)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to works successfully in a multi-ethnic/ multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff

This function/position has been designated as "critical". This means that it has job duties that affect the security, safety or physical operation of the College, and are required to work at the Emergency Operations Center and/or have access to the incident scene once normal campus operations have been suspended.
