Merits Health Products is Hiring a Remote Territory Sales Manager (Tampa/Orlando, FL)

Merits Health Products is looking to add a Territory Sales Manager to our growing team! Must be located in the Tampa/Orlando, FL area.

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for championing the company’s Sales and Marketing team efforts by focusing, coordinating, organizing and directing territory sales efforts in order to build product demand through the development of effective relationships and bringing value to every sales call. To advance the company’s vision, culture, values and work environment. The Territory Sales Manager is directly responsible for increasing the sales of Merits/Avid/Pilot offerings. The TSM works within their assigned territory to develop their customer base's knowledge of Merits/Avid/Pilot, targeting key/focus accounts, developing opportunities and exceeding budgeted sales goals.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • RESNA credentialed ATP preferred
  • Travel within assigned territory a minimum of 4 days per week
  • If needed, one home office day (per week) may be utilized for planning and analysis
  • Minimum of 17 (per year), qualified, in-services at Rehab Providers or Referral Facilities
  • Weekly call report to be provided to management team to evaluate and provide feedback on sales activities
  • Keep current on new product information and the development of new products
  • Keep current on industry standards and trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
  • Keep abreast of government regulations as they relate to competitive bidding and other government regulations including Medicare Billing Codes
  • Works overtime as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • College degree preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years minimum industry experience
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong negotiating skills and capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Google, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong written and oral communication and customer service skills
  • Mini – van, or similar vehicle, required to transport multiple samples for presentations
  • Valid Driver’s License is required

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • Duties are performed in an office and field environment
  • Contact with internal and external customers and vendors
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
  • Must travel extensively by car; sit for long periods of time; may encounter adverse weather and/or road conditions
