JOB SUMMARY : The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for oversight and management of the Merits USA operational policies, objectives, and initiatives. This position has an overall responsibility for safety, quality, production, warehouse, logistics, purchasing, and facilities. This role will take a hands-on approach to management plans, guides, and directs the company’s operations to achieve the organization’s objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and procedures. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Educational Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in a related field (or other relevant disciplines) is required with at least ten (10) recent years of related management experience in Operations Management; or an equivalent combination of education, vocational training, and related industry experience. Lean or Six Sigma certification recognized and preferred.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time, but also will be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb/climb ladders or balance; use of hands to handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; frequently required to talk and hear; active use of computer.
The employee is required to safely lift or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
