Meritage Homes is hiring an Accounting Managr who will be responsible for overseeing and managing corporate accounting and consolidation, and all corporate accounting functions and providing key internal reports, analysis, and reconciliations for leadership.

Fundamental Job Duties:

• Oversee and manage the consolidation process for financial statements of multi state, publicly held company.
• Lead the corporate accounting team in ensuring accurate and timely preparation of internal financial statements.
• Responsible for preparation of reports including, statement of cash flows, EBITDA, and other consolidated internal reporting.
• Manage and coordinate the financial reporting process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information.
• Manage the review and posting of corporate accounting journal entries.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies in accordance with regulatory standards, industry best practices and company policies.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the corporate accounting function.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA designation preferred. Homebuilding experience preferred.
• 5 years accounting and managerial experience.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
• Strong knowledge of consolidation processes and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Analytical; with the ability to give, receive and interpret information to determine the root problem and bring issues to a successful conclusion.
• Organized and flexible with the ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and meet deadlines, often with interruptions, changing circumstances, in a fast-paced work environment.
• Thrives in changing environment and maintains a positive attitude.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• JD Edwards experience preferred
• Financial statement report writing experience preferred
