We are hiring an Accounting Manager to manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. The Accounting Manager will supervise and develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. This position will work closely with the SVP of Finance & Accounting and CFO.
Responsibilities
· Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
o Month and year end close process
o A/P and A/R
o Cash receipts
o General Ledger
o Payroll
o Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
o Capital assets reconciliations
o Check runs
o Fixed asset activity
o Debt activity
o Sales tax reporting (Avalara)
· Assist in the formulation and enforcement of internal controls and policies to comply with accounting best practices
· Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports
· Provide leadership and mentorship to ensure high performance, retention and professional growth
· Participate in the preparation for the annual audit
· Assist in the development of reports for management and/or regulatory agencies
· Manage the annual processing of 1099 forms and the reporting of property taxes

Requirements
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· 5 years of proven experience in managing an accounting team of 3
· Thorough knowledge of US cost accounting, accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
· Experience with NetSuite highly preferred but not required
· Experience with general ledger functions, cost of goods sold and month end/year end close process
· Advanced computer skills on MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
· Well-organized with ability to prioritize
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to direct, train and supervise
· Problem solving skills
· Experience with both leading teams and being hands-on across all accounting functions
