About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Relationship Manager to support and grow our Emerging Middle Market portfolio in Phoenix, AZ. Emerging Middle Markets, as part of Commercial Banking Client Coverage, (CBCC) is a line of business that provides comprehensive financial services to commercial customers primarily with annual sales from $25 million to $75 million. The Emerging Middle Markets team serves variety of companies within the industry including manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, distributors, importers, and service companies providing them with wide variety of products and services to meet the lending and cash management needs.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain client relationships for credit products
  • Ensure overall growth opportunities for customers and understand their business, goals and strategies
  • Participate in the completion of major transactions
  • Originate, structure and execute transactions related to, commercial lending, treasury management and other credit related products
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Perform effective financial analysis and underwriting in the areas of credit, cash flow and collateral
  • Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Partner with existing customers in order to fully understand their businesses, goals, strategies and challenges

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4 years of Commercial Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Commercial portfolio relationship management experience
  • In market business development within the segment
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial lending, commercial lending products, and credit practices
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of negotiating: interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of risk management and portfolio management
  • Experience consistently delivering strong sales performance
  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
