Robert Half is looking to permanent an Accounting Clerk for an admired company in the legal industry. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / contract to permanent employment opportunity based in the Scottsdale, Arizona area.Your responsibilities in this role- Submit financial figures to journals and ledgers- Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required- Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources- Work with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit- See to the proper coding of documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes- Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
