Job Summary:This position is responsible for performing administrative duties related to our individual and group insurance departments.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assisting client inquiries, requests, and questions via phone and email
- Updating client files in multiple databases
- Sending letters for collection, lapse notices, and reinstatement notices
- Process new enrollments, changes, and terminations in the database
- Process claims, waiver of premiums, and monthly invoices
- Collecting and applying payments
- Providing a high level of customer service including clear and direct communication skills with internal and external constituents
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work onsite from a designated office for collaborative/interactive fulfillment of duties
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and establishes a positive rapport with every caller
- Strong typing and data entry skills
- Self-sufficient, successfully meets deadlines, and take initiative
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills within a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Required Education and Experience:
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office
