MedMal Direct Insurance Company is Hiring a Business Development Executive Near Houston, TX

MedMal Direct is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to lead our sales efforts in select territories as we offer medical professional liability insurance to independent physician practices. The position is Regional Vice President, MedMal Direct Insurance Company in the assigned territories in Texas.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, qualifies and sells new Medical Professional Liability clients within target territories to achieve or exceed annual goals
  • Builds effective and collaborative relationships inside organization as well as with key centers of influence within target territories
  • Uses a highly consultative approach to setup sales opportunities and conduct face to face meetings with prospects and clients
  • Participates in professional organizations and informal networks to develop, build and sustain pipelines and to obtain prospects
  • Understands the short and long-term needs and challenges of physician prospects and how the MedMal Direct value proposition and industry best practices can assist in addressing their needs
  • Works closely with assigned Account Manager to collaboratively manage assigned current accounts in territory through the renewal process and any service issues throughout the year
  • Proficient in and a champion of the tools and processes, sales effectiveness techniques and policies and procedures of MedMal Direct
  • Participates in training as required
  • Travel to client or prospect meetings in territories as needed

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong oral and written communication and relationship building skills essential
  • Ability to engage in client-focused critical thinking and problem solving
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrate resourcefulness
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment is essential
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of relevant sales experience and/or Commercial P&C industry experience required
  • Successful business to business sales experience (Professional Liability and/or Commercial Property & Casualty preferred) including experience selling to physicians/healthcare
  • Ability to learn, understand and champion sales process/campaigns, and value proposition
  • Property & Casualty licensure or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment required
  • Frequent travel to various locations is required (Up to 50%). Must have reliable transportation.
  • Position is remote. Candidate must live in the territory at all times of employment.
