REQUIREMENTS

- Understand cost-reduction principles and how to implement goals - Possess skills at assessing issues, defining solutions, and implementing strategy - Perform well in environment that values leadership, efficiency, dependability, and organization.
- Experience in general office or as a hospital based unit clerk - Outstanding customer service skills; ability to interact with others in a diplomatic and courteous manner on the telephone and in person - Knowledge of all applicable medical laws and regulations - Ability to comply with HIPAA policies and procedures - Excellent communication skills, able to read, write and comprehend medical terminology - Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task - MS Office skills and experience with electronic medical records systems - High school diploma; Must be able to drive.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and collect progress reports - Monitor project calendar, ensuring project is on schedule and in budget.
- Facilitate the activities of the unit for the nursing staff, patient, doctors, and visitors. - Perform clerical functions in compliance with site policies and procedures.
- Manage reception area; greet patients and families at the facility.
- Answer phone calls and provide information; relay messages and transfer calls.
- Provide timely information regarding services and patient or provider needs.
- Maintain an organized office and allow medical staff to focus on patient care.
- Assist patients by walking them through the registration process.
- Request and maintain clinical history copies and files for patients’ medical records and prescriptions are and verify insurance information.
- Handle patient record management and ensure accurate documentation.
- Practice strict procedures on safeguarding the confidentiality of data and medication security.
- Assist facility interdisciplinary team in maintain patient centered care.
- Order and office, patient supplies and assist in maintaining medical supplies plus stock supplies away neatly'
