Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources (HR) leader accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment who thrives collaborating with multiple stakeholders to develop and support organizational goals through effective HR strategies.As the senior HR leader in the organization, the Human Resource Sr. Director will serve as key partner to the leadership team providing direction and guidance of HR operations and initiatives. Build, plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the HR department. Responsible for the effective implementation of HR strategic initiatives to drive the success of the employee experience and business results across the organization. The HR Sr. Director will be responsible for embedding the organization’s mission, goals, and culture into all employee and talent activities while ensuring legal and compliance requirements are fulfilled. Management Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
  • Plans, oversees and manages the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides ongoing constructive feedback and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintains department budget.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, development, succession, and retention. Determines high impact priorities and ensures resources are aligned to meet organizational goals.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, implements and measures policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Leads and engages in the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, payroll, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance across multiple states.
  • Reports to the Compliance Committee regarding compliance with training, licensure, credentialling, timeliness of evaluations and other required documentation.
  • Identifies and implements staffing and recruiting strategy; partners with team to build, develop, and execute best practices for hiring and talent management. This includes successfully completing all onboarding requirements.
  • Integrate opportunities for employee skill development, career growth, and continuous learning and implement programs that align with organizational goals.
  • Leads and supports leaders in initiatives aimed at fostering a positive workplace culture which include promoting employee engagement and diversity and inclusion strategies.
  • Leads the development and execution of performance management processes that enhance productivity, engagement, and alignment to company values and goals.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system. Develops and manages an audit strategy and process to ensure HR data integrity across the enterprise.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Develops and implements departmental budget.
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of human resource management experience required.
  • At least 5 years of Executive level consulting experience required.
  • Demonstrated record of building successful HR strategies, systems, and processes.
  • Healthcare industry background preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
  • HR Professional Industry certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Position is required on site 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday); located in the New York City Financial District.
  • Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times.
