Accounts Payable Clerk

Summary of Role:
The Accounts Payable Clerk will assist the accounts payable managers and business managers in all tasks related to processing payments, including but not limited to collecting all A/P records, thoroughly and accurately reviewing codes and processing vendor invoices as well as performing data entry.

Responsibilities:

• Support the accounts payable managers and business managers in all responsibilities related to processing payments.

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely.

• Verify approvals on all invoices and review assigned codes for accuracy.

• Research discrepancies in invoices.

• Maintain files as may be required.

• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable as required.

• Support internal and external reconciliation and audit of payments as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Associate Degree in Accounting preferred

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or general accounting

• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles

• Proficient with MS Suite Windows/Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams/SharePoint) Knowledge and experience with SAP a plus.

• Ability to use enterprise-level financial record-keeping software systems, spreadsheets, and email applications

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• High degree of attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and ability to prioritize tasks, efficiently managing your time

• Ability to complete a high volume of work within set deadlines

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong analytical skills

• Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with coworkers and/or clients professionally and effectively.

• Second language proficiency a plus.
