Head Bartender

Position Summary

Carry on the vision of enlightened hospitality, through meaningful & intentional interactions with our guests, while preparing & pouring cocktails, wine & beer for guests at your bar and the guests in the dining room. Be the standard of the bar program by upholding all systems & operations as well as handle ordering of bar products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Mecha Noodle Bar: To transform taste and tradition to pride and progress through soulful interpretations of Southeast Asian comfort food in a fun, communal, high energy space.

Provide ALL Mecha guests a memorable experience based by cultivating unique interactions tailored to your guest’s needs & wants.

Order ALL necessary product for the bar & all beverage menu items

Achieve & maintain company standards as it relates to Costs Of Goods Sold

Conduct weekly & monthly inventory of all beverage products alongside the General Manager

Uphold standard & quality of the bar program by leading through example and educating your team

Follow all Mecha steps of service.

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Mecha’s standard & signature drink recipes.

Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change if necessary.

Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

Clean and sterilize glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.

Record drink orders accurately and immediately after having received them into the POS system.

Responsible alcohol service

Complete pre-open prep work to ensure readiness for the day

Clean and close the bar using provided checklists

Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.

Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the manager.

Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.

Coordinate with and assist fellow team members to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.

Fill-in for fellow teammates where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Fill in for in store management as needed, to help open/close the restaurant

Performing other work-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Previous restaurant experience required; previous management experience preferred; successful completion of progressive business management training program helpful

Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Excellent customer service to treat guests like family

Strong communication skills to train and motivate employees

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to sharp objects, slippery floors, smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, and extreme cold. The employee regularly comes into contact with water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items. The employee is frequently required to wash hands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
