MDW is currently seeking a Cost Analyst in support of The Army Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) serves to expedite critical capabilities to the field to meet Combatant Commanders' needs. The RCCTO enables the Army to experiment, evolve, and deliver technologies in real time to address both urgent and emerging threats, while supporting acquisition reform efforts.

Essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

• Developing and reviewing cost analyses in Automated Cost Estimating Integration Tool (ACEIT).
• Preparing estimates for changes in technical and/or funding baselines.
• Analyzing mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors, and relationships to be utilized in constructing cost models.
• Providing support for defending cost estimating methodologies.
• Developing life cycle cost estimates to determine the total cost of the program.
• Supporting contract cost estimating financial activities and processing reconciliations.
• Routinely providing detailed financial reports and documentation.
• Providing advice and technical assistance to functional specialists in identifying and evaluating program cost factors and cost impact on program alternatives.
• Developing Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) to support program management needs.
• Evaluating impacts on program based on direction and funding adjustments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Must have a thorough knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Proficiency with ACEIT
• Familiarity with Army Acquisition Process
• Knowledge and skill in the application of policies, precedents, methods, and techniques of costing
• Multitasking in a face paced environment
• Experience with evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the required specifications
• Experience preparing IGCEs
• Refine and adjust cost models in response to changes in technical specifications, support requirements, design alternatives, engineering, and operational trade-off proposals

Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5-10 years of relevant experience providing cost analysis.

Clearance Requirement(s):

• Candidates for this position must currently possess an Active Secret clearance (or higher)
