Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Cost Analyst to support the Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO). This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Develop cost estimates via the Automated Cost Estimating Integration Tool (ACEIT).
• Prepare cost analyses of changes in technical and/or funding baselines.
• Analyze mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors, and relationships to be utilized in constructing cost models.
• Provide support for defending cost estimating methodologies.
• Develop life cycle cost estimates to determine the total cost of the program.
• Support contract cost estimating financial activities. Routinely provide detailed financial reports and documentation.
• Provide advice and technical assistance to functional specialists in identifying and evaluating program cost factors and cost impact on program alternatives.
• Evaluate impacts on the program based on direction and funding adjustments.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in providing cost analysis.
• Possess excellent data-gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must know about Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and experience in DoD acquisition programs.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Providing cost analysis and support to defense programs.
• Experience with evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the required specifications.
• Refine and adjust cost models in response to changes in technical specifications, support requirements, design alternatives, engineering, and operational trade-off proposals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with expedited/rapid acquisition efforts.
• Experience in one or more Army program offices.
