The Night Auditor at the Aloft Houston Downtown assures the highest possible level of visitor and guest satisfaction by providing superior customer service. Responsible for checking guests into and out of the hotel as well as answering phone calls and customer inquiries. This role has additional responsibilities such as daily paperwork and basic reporting duties. Responsibilities:Check guests into and out of the hotel in an accurate, speedy, and courteous mannerHandle all payments received whether they are cash, credit card, checks, or traveler’s checksBalance and verify all monetary transactions in the appropriate accountsEnsure that all hotel keys are distributed to the appropriate parties and that guest privacy is maintainedMaintain all documentation regarding room registration, changes, charges, credit card transactions, customer service, and maintenance issuesResolve escalated guest relations issues when neededAnswer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and servicesRespond to and follow-up on all guest requests to ensure customers are satisfied with the hotel’s services and accommodationsPositively represent and promote the propertyEnsure that the lobby and front desk area is clean, organized, visually appealing, and well-stocked with all necessary suppliesProperly compile, complete, and distribute reports to management and team as directedReport any maintenance, security, or safety issuesOther Duties as AssignedRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentFront desk experience preferred, but will train the right fitExperience with the brand a strong plusHighly motivated and self-directedExceptional customer service skills requiredMust possess strong computer skillsAbility to move, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeExcellent English communication skills both written and verbalA can-do attitude and a hands-on approachAbility to work overnight hours. This is primarily an overnight positionA flexible schedule that allows availability days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel
