Objective: Utilize automated equipment to safely package product into bags.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe working environment
• Ensures the area is properly set up and maintained throughout the shift
• Identify poor quality and possible foreign material risks
• Keeps up with the pace of different run orders
• Validates product specifications (cut sizes and blends)
• Communicates with other areas to ensure the correct amount of product is cut
• Operate automated equipment that weighs, and seals finished product into various weights and sizes of plastic bags.
• Attain specific target speeds for each item.
• Perform weight and seal integrity checks to ensure products meet customer or internal specifications using Redzone
• Ensure packages are stamped correctly by the automated stamping system.
• Keep the equipment in a sanitary condition minimizing food safety risks.
• Report any mechanical issues to maintenance and your supervisor if you have not been trained to resolve them.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance tasks
• Provide required documentation for each run.
• Must be able to use film jack to move film and forming tube and collars to assigned bag machine. Weight could vary from 30 to 80 pounds
• Wash and operate multiple types of baggers and scales
• Ensuring that water usage is kept to a minimum
• Must adhere to all GMP policies
• Must adhere to all safety policies
• Must adhere to all food safety polices
• Must adhere to the company’s attendance policy
• May be asked to work in other areas as necessary

• Ability to utilize electronic equipment such as IPAD or display screens
• Discipline in following company policy and procedures consistently every day is required

Desired Qualifications: High school or GED, bilingual skills a plus.
