Job Description:

Department: Office of Student Engagement (OSE)

Reports to: OSE Staff

Salary Grade: $15.00/hour

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Location of Position: Roj Student Center, McDaniel College

Duration of Appointment: Academic School Year

Scope
Reporting to Office of Student Engagement (OSE) staff, the Programming Assistant provides programming and support for office programs and rec lounge coverage.

Office Assistant Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to anyone who visits the Office of Student Engagement.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere for anyone who visits the Office of Student Engagement.
• Communicate with supervisor and colleagues on a regular/consistent basis
• Good punctuality and attendance
• Keep spaces neat and organized
• Keep up with on campus events and activities
• Attend any training sessions provided by OSE
• Timely responses to staff e-mails
• Join GroupMe messaging service to ensure time response to coverage request.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Have and maintain a good disciplinary record at McDaniel College (i.e. not on disciplinary probation as of the start of or during the course of employment)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Commitment to creating and supporting an inclusive campus community
• Must be able to work a minimum of 4 hours per week
• Federal Work Study
