Job Description:

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be a current student enrolled at McDaniel College. This position is open to both work study and campus employment students.

Position: Athletics Recruiting (Football)

Reports to: Football Coach

Supervisor: Davon Johnson Sr.

Department: Athletics

Salary Grade: Tier I

FSLA Status: Non-exempt

Location: Gill Center Football Offices, McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, MD 21157

Duration of Appointment: Academic Year 2023-2024

Scope: Assisting with recruiting operations, social media strategy, player/coach interviews, and on campus visits.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the football team and coaches during on campus recruiting visits
• Meet and greet recruits and families upon arrival to campus. Escort recruits around campus
• Aid Recruiting Coordinator updating and inputting recruits' information in database
• Aid with graphics requests for any training camp and season needs
• Collaborate with Recruiting Coordinator about social media strategy
• Other duties as assigned

Hours:

• Available Time Frame / Monday-Saturday 12:00AM-6:00PM
• The number of hours worked each week is typically 12 hours

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate student enrolled at McDaniel College
• Students need to be in good academic standing
• Must be professional, reliable, and responsible
• Ability to operate a video camera
• Ability to follow directions
• Interest and/or knowledge of football
• Computer technology knowledge is a plus

Physical Characteristics:

• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, including setup and breakdown of equipment
• Ability to stand in one location for up to two hours
• At times, will be exposed to adverse weather conditions
