Mayvin is seeking an experienced Accountant, Senior to provide direct accounting operations support to the CFO and Controller. Hands-on, cradle-to-grave cost accounting responsibilities. Track financial information in a well-organized manner and assist the CFO and Controller in all aspects related to accounting for the organization. Must have an active Secret Clearance or be eligible.

Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle accounting - responsible for executing and maintaining the accounting system transactional records to ensure timely and accurate financial statements/project data
• Tactical tasks will include aspects of Accounting, Accounts Receivable/Billing, Contract Awards, Project Control, and Contract financial performance tracking, and Accounts Payable
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures, ensure compliance with those procedures, and create/improve/adhere to accounting policies and procedures of the company
• Liaison with external parties to support tax compliance, audits, workers compensation, DBA insurance, DCAA, states, etc.
• Generate financial reports for senior leadership and program managers
• Month-end close and year-end close activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or other Business Degree
• 6 years of Government Cost Accounting is required; General ledger experience, including assets, liabilities, and equity accounts, and working knowledge of Government Accounting Indirect Rates
• 6 years Government Cost Accounting ERP/Financial Accounting system experience required (Unanet, Deltek GCS/Costpoint, et al.) (Unanet experience preferred)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Unanet Accounting System experience (Time and Expense, Contracts Module a plus)
• Accounting System/Infrastructure Implementations
• Experience working with DCAA and preparing Incurred Cost Submissions
