Mayco Industries is Hiring a HR Coordinator - Now Hiring Near Granite City, IL

**This is a salary position between $50,000 - $65,000 based on experience**

Position Description

Mayco is a lead refining/manufacturing facility. Mayco is a Union facility, therefore experience navigating a Union Contract, knowledge of the grievance procedure and participating in Union Contract negotiations are a must.

The HR Coordinator carries out responsibilities in the following areas: departmental development, employment, recruiting and staffing logistics, employee orientation, training and development, benefits administration, record keeping, employee relations, payroll, assisting company managers/supervisors with HR issues.

Education, Experience, Required Skills

 B.S. degree in related field

 5 years of related experience in a Union environment

 Strong conflict resolution skills

 Recruiting/Staffing experience

 Payroll knowledge

 Detail-oriented

 Leadership skills

 Organizational skills

 Communication skills

 Strong interpersonal skills

 Computer skills

Authority and Responsibilities

 Maintains and supervises employee compensation package(s).

 Maintain employee HR & Safety files/records in paper form

 Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes

 Conduct employee onboarding, including safety awareness

 Coordinate employee benefit eligibility, enrollments, terminations, payroll

deductions and incentives

 Organize/Coordinate annual employee performance reviews

 FMLA administration

 Create and maintain job descriptions

 Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies

 Ensure compliance with state and federal agencies

 Payroll processing

 AAP annual reporting

 ACA annual reporting

 Administration and Supervision of all employee benefit changes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Ability to stand, walk or sit approximately eight (8) hours/day

 Ability to bend and stoop

 Ability to drive a car and travel

  • Scheduling Experience
  • Recruiting and Training Experience
  • Budgeting / Forecasting Experience
