Mattress Depot USA is looking for an energetic, action-oriented, self-motivated, hands-on District team leader with strong management and communication skills. The District Sales Manager position at Mattress Depot USA is a well compensated and satisfying career. With over 14 years of operations, proven sales methods, ongoing training and support, and being one of the leading mattress retailers in the Pacific Northwest, we have consistently grown to 26 retail locations. We operate in the U.S. mattress retail market, in which net sales amounted to approximately $14 billion in 2015. The mattress retail market has grown 18 out of the last 20 years and is expected to demonstrate strong fundamentals.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set the standards for excellence to include goal setting, goal obtainment, quality of performance, as well as career development through mentoring and motivating the team members to a high level of performance.
- Develops team to accomplish the stores business objectives through recruitment, selection, coaching, investment, retention, and motivation.
- Observe and critique team members consistently by performing reviews and communicate to the team members (and management) about their performance.
-Communicate, implement, and ensure compliance of all company policies, programs, standards, and visual presentations.
- Analyze business reports regularly to identify inventory opportunities or problems. -Continuously drive business by analyzing key financial data, monitoring operating efficiencies, plus identifying business trends and opportunities. With this data you will set aggressive action plans for team members and prepare budgets.
- Maintains the Districts stores organization, appearance, and cleanliness while conducting store walk-throughs with team members (communicating successes/opportunities in key store areas).
-Analyze and monitor various P.O.S. reports while effectively managing profit and loss responsibility.
- Become an expert on Mattress depot USA products and benefits.
- Must show proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, P.O.S. software, emails, and internet use.
-Conduct minimum monthly inventory audits of stores in District and report to management any discrepancies.
-Ability to follow directives implemented by upper management and follow through on the directives in a timely manner.
- Ability to hire, train, and retain employees in District.
Job Requirements - Minimum Qualifications:
-Multiple store (District, Regional) retail management experience a plus.
-Bachelor Degree in Business Management (or equivalent)
- Minimum three years of District or Regional sales management experience. Commission and Bonus driven sales of products a plus.
-Excellent transportation. Position requires travel to individual stores throughout the designated District/Region in own reliable vehicle.
-Must be able to help lift, unload, and load out heavy mattress sets (approx. 100 lbs lifting capacity).
- Self-motivated, prioritizes tasks and works independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional appearance and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
