Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Management Director specializing in Performance Management to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role as a change agent to lead the deployment of our talent strategy to increase the level of performance across MasterBrand through robust goal setting, ongoing coaching and meaningful reviews. This position requires a strong blend of leadership, strategic thinking, influencing through others and hands-on deployment of programs to drive and operationalize a high-performance culture in alignment with organizational goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Process Design and Deployment: Lead the end-to-end deployment of redesigned performance management processes and systems. Ensure alignment with MasterBrand’s Talent Philosophy and external best practices, incorporating quality and feedback mechanisms to drive sustainment and continuous improvement.
  • Goal Setting and Alignment: Facilitate goal-setting processes to ensure alignment between individual objectives and organizational priorities. Collaborate with leaders and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to calibrate on rigor and cascade goals throughout the organization.
  • Associate Development and Coaching: Implement and sustain a simple framework for ongoing coaching, focused on transparency and increasing the level of performance. Own deployment of the regular process, partnering with the business to ensure effective coaching conversations.
  • Performance Evaluation and Feedback: Lead annual performance review process, ensuring simplicity and objectivity with the overall goal of raising the level of performance across the organization. Coach and provide guidance to HRBPs and leaders on driving meaningful conversations around performance.
  • Talent Reviews and Succession Planning: Lead talent review processes to assess organizational talent strengths and gaps. Develop, implement and sustain succession planning strategies to ensure the readiness of key talent for future leadership roles.
  • Culture and Communication: Lead change management efforts related to performance management initiatives to transform the culture of people leadership across the organization. Develop and implement communication plans to ensure transparency and adoption from associates at all levels of the organization. Leverage influence with key leaders to drive and sustain true behavioral change.
  •  Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track key performance indicators, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of performance management initiatives. Present findings to senior leadership and recommend actionable insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement in performance management practices. Solicit feedback from stakeholders, conduct regular assessments of external best practices, and make adjustments as needed to drive organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 10 – 15 years of combined progressive experience in Human Resources and/or Talent Functions
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or Business related field
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing performance management processes in complex organizations
  • Strong understanding of performance evaluation methodologies, feedback techniques, and talent development strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change initiatives
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus
