The Ideal Candidate for this Position:
The Director of Sales will direct and coordinate the activities of the entire Sales and Marketing department. This will include proactive efforts, nurturing and growing client relationships/business, meeting and/or exceeding set sales goals, budgeting, forecasting, advertising, and the creation of the marketing plan.
As Director of Sales, you will lead and manage all day-to-day activities with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales and marketing objectives of this high-end hotel. You will be responsible for achieving your own personal booking goals, while advising your team on meeting their own booking goals. This position reports to the General Manager as a member of the Executive Committee.
JOB SUMMARY
The Chicago Marriott Airport is currently looking for a dynamic Director of Sales to complement our existing team. Our Newly renovated 470-room hotel boasts over 34,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, restaurants, concierge lounge, indoor/outdoor pool & fitness facility. Our new team member will exemplify leadership responsibilities. Strengths include maximizing revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, through proactive selling, solicitation, fostering and maintaining client relations. Major focus will be the transient sales efforts for the hotel. Candidates will be utilizing systems of CI-TY, C-vent, Hotel Planner, and Microsoft Office/Excel. Previous Director of Sales experience preferred, Marriott experience a plus.
