We are searching for an individual who is passionate, reliable, energetic, customer focused, has a strong work ethic and is willing to go above and beyond to exceed our guest expectations.
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to management including greeting visitors, answering the telephone, gathering data and compiling reports, maintaining files and preparing correspondence.
* Resolve routine administrative issues and answer inquiries concerning Hotel activities and operations.
* Establish, maintain and update files, records and other documents.
* Arrange and schedule meetings and appointments as needed.
* Resolve all issues within Marriott’s Guest Satisfaction Survey platform within a 48 hour time frame by email or phone call.
* Answer all Marriott Customer Care guest issues after research and arrange appropriate compensation as needed.
* Organize all non-profit requests and, upon approval of the GM, Director of Operations or Sales Manager, design and distribute gift certificates (TFB). Keep a record of all gift certificates for donation information.
* Lead and champion Marriott’s Spirit to Serve community events.
* Any other tasks / duties as requested by management.
Ability to type 50 or more words per minute along with Microsoft Office fluency – Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to maintain confidentiality with tact, diplomacy, and discretion. Ability to timely compile facts/figures, identify and investigate issues and resolve matters. Ability to follow an appropriate course of action based on management’s direction and Company policies and procedures. Ability to operate a computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment. Attention to details with strong organizational and efficient time management skills.
Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and strong communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient. Ability to satisfy the legal requirements for employment within the jurisdiction.
Education plus three or more years of secretarial or equivalent experience. Experience in the hospitality industry practices and knowledge of common industry terms and practices preferred. Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills required. Experience with Marriott Systems MARSHA and PMS preferred. Certification as Notary Public a plus.
