Mariposa Center for Safety Case Manager Objective: Strive to fulfill the Mission of Mariposa Center for Safety in every aspect of the position.

Reports to: Victim Services Supervisor

Status: Nonexempt

As a Case Manager you would play a central role in helping our clients access services and resources, and take the next steps to wellness. You would use your professional case management skills to assist clients in managing and overcoming their difficulties to improve day-to-day functioning, support other members of the team and collaborate with professionals within and outside our agency to assure that clients receive the very best care available. Specifically, the Case Manager, under the direction of the Victim Services Supervisor and Program Director will:

• Works with clients and make appropriate referrals to address needs, to include but not limited to, education, housing, judicial system, mental health, and substance use needs.
• Helps ensure clients attend their scheduled appointments in the community.
• Identifies coping mechanisms and natural supports that may be available.
• Provide legal advocacy and coordinate court accompaniment for clients as needed.
• Assist and educate clients (resident and non-resident) in the completion of restraining order forms.
• Participates in the on-call rotation.
• Enhances client problem-solving skills, independent living skills, and socialization skills.
• Perform intake/exit interviews,
• Maintains competency and proficiency in Domestic Violence training (will complete 15 hours of training each year);
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all clients,
• Performs other job-related duties assigned by the director or his/her designee.

Physical requirements include the following:

• Requires standing, sitting, driving, and walking for prolonged periods of time.
• Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 50 pounds.
• Requires working under stress in emergency situations.
• Requires occasional driving in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
• Requires knowledge of computers and data base systems.

Associates degree with 2 years relevant work experience required, Bachelors degree preferred.

Spanish language skills preferred.

Salary: $18.74 - $19.49 per hour, based on education and Spanish language skill.
