- Supervise and coordinate the activities of inventory control personnel to ensure accurate and efficient management of inventory.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies to minimize errors and discrepancies.
- Oversee the cycle counting and reconciliation of inventory to maintain accuracy and identify potential issues or discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and track inventory movements to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
- Coordinate with purchasing, receiving, and warehouse departments to optimize inventory replenishment and ensure timely and accurate receipt and storage of inventory.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of inventory processes and records to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Train and develop inventory control staff on proper procedures, software systems, and best practices.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Analyze inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Prepare inventory-related reports and documentation as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in receiving, logistics, or warehouse management.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with receiving software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
