The Martino Group in Denton, TX is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician I to play a vital role in the overall Class-A appeal of our properties that keeps our owners happy and retains tenants.

The typical schedule is 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm, Monday-Friday . We also have a rotating on-call schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays.

A Day in The Life of a Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you execute a wide range of routine and preventative tasks involved with basic property maintenance such as interior and exterior painting, replacing lightbulbs, checking emergency lighting, and replacing filters.

As you complete property maintenance, you always provide exceptional customer service. And, you take pride in preparing apartments for new tenants.

Each shift brings a combination of daily checklists, occasional tasks, and unexpected surprises. You love that you are never bored! And, most of all, you feel great about maintaining value and quality in the community.

Supervisory Responsibility :

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, and may be exposed to paint fumes and other fumes such as from cleaning supplies.

The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :

This is a full-time position, 40 hours or more per week. Hours of Operation are Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.

m. Must be available for "On Call" rotation nights, weekends, and holidays.

Travel :

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience :

• General maintenance in a property management environment
• 2 years of basic property / general facility maintenance experience

Preferred Education and Experience :

• General Maintenance Experience
• Plumbing Repairs
• Basic Electrical Repairs
• Appliance Repairs
• Painting experience
• EPA Universal certification

Additional Eligibility Qualifications :

• Must have a satisfactory background check and drug screen
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and proof of insurance
• Must have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
• Work with minimal supervision
• Deadline and detailed oriented
• Ability to deal well with people
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation
• Have strong knowledge in all areas of property maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pool maintenance.

• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping crouching, squatting, crawling, climbing, and going up and down stairs all day.
• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to lift and / or move items up to 80 pounds without assistance.
