RPMStaffing Professionals is Hiring a Maintenance Technician - Industrial Near Denton, TX

Essential Functions/Job Requirements:
  • Performs electrical troubleshooting and repair on various equipment and building maintenance.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service.
  • Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Follows electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools and electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs, welds and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment.
  • Adjusts equipment during operation to improve operation.
  • Reads blueprints, diagrams and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, and identify parts required.
  • Actively seeks to find problems in assigned areas and corrects them before the problems become critical.
  • Communicates conditions of equipment by: completing appropriate maintenance records, transferring knowledge of conditions to incoming mechanics at shift change, and informing the supervisor of significant problems. .
  • Possess the ability to deliver timely analysis and repair of all breakdowns in plant using basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong electrical knowledge and experience are needed. Able to size circuits (wire, disconnects, conduit, etc.) and install for new installations
  • Able to stick & Mig weld
  • Should have good mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair complex motor control circuits
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes including lighting, climate control, security, A.C and D.C motors, controls, PLC and distribution panels. 
  • Rewire and replace outdated wiring and equipment and modify electrical circuitry and/or equipment to meet changing needs.
  • Able to understand controls systems
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work safely in all conditions.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the field of maintenance is required.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have a strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to handle physical requirements, including but not limited to, kneeling, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting of up to 80 lbs.
  • Able to complete part requisition forms and work-order paperwork to document work performed.
  • Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls – strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Drives and PLCs preferred.
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
  • Previous work experience in mechanical, electrical and/or experience in blown film industries is strongly preferred.
  • Focused on strictly adhering to safety procedures such as “lock-out, tag-out."
  • Results-oriented
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Organized with strong time management skills
  • Good communicators, able to work through problems with other team members or equipment vendors
