• Present a professional image to customers and vendors.
• Participate in subcontract maintenance services (PSI, Cognex, & Mettler Toledo).
• Perform system troubleshooting and resolution for innovative systems (AMR, G2P, etc).
• Responsible for maintaining the agreed upon customer contract and achieving the required system performance and availability.
• Provide mechanical, electrical and/or programming troubleshooting.
• Perform planned maintenance procedures systems as scheduled.
• Provide small scope mechanical installation depending upon the application.
• Responsible for performing and supervising the repair and service of traditional material handling equipment.
• Participate in installation supervision, system controls and or system programming procedures.
• Responsible for handling complex customer needs as required.
• Maintain a neat and orderly shop.
• Be aware of and practice all rules regarding personal and job site safety.
• Responsible for all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• 3 years’ experience or formal training in mechanical, electrical and/or programming experience with automation. Robotics and conveyance experience is required.
• Technical training in electromechanical preferred, or equivalent related experience required.
• Required broad base of knowledge on Hy-Tek supplied technologies.
• Demonstrate a high degree of communication when interacting with Hy-Tek customer base and team members.
• Expert knowledge of conveyor, racking, storage systems and/or advancing technologies preferred.
• Industry knowledge related to supply chain, logistics, material handling systems, and software such as WMS, WES, WCS, ERP, etc. is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills including the ability to apply logic and constructive thinking to solve problems.
• Aptitude and ability to analyze and interpret all mechanical, electrical and/or programming information in service manuals.
• Ability to effectively use hand and power tools.
• Ability to complete several tasks simultaneously without error.
• Capable of meeting client expectations/deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Takes initiative and owns the resolution process to satisfy customer needs with little to no direction.

Working Conditions:

• Travel 5% of the time, and up to 25% as needed.
• Willingness to work any shift (as needed) and overtime as required to meet customer deadlines. Some weekend/night work required as needed.
• Working in office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
• Occasional ascending and descending racking and/or mezzanines.
• Must be comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet in the air via scissor lift.
• Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA levels.
• Occasional movement and positioning of objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
