Technical Writer
Washington DC Area / Navy Yard (Hybrid)
Marathon TS is seeking a Technical Writer to join our team providing support to a DoD Program Executive Office.
Candidates must have the following experience:
Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in DoD environment.

• Provide targeted technical writing support throughout the PEO area of responsibility.
• Meet with government client contacts regularly to learn about specific requirements,
  products, or processes to draft technical documents, as needed.
• Role will provide support to PEO's digital transformation as a technical writer.
• This role utilizes a combination of technical writing and project management skills to ensure documentation throughout the PEO is consistent and meets the requirements.
• This role will provide comprehensive technical writing support within the PEO.
• Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content.

Knowledge & Skills

• Must excel at working independently to meet strict deadlines.
• High attention to detail, organization, and administrative skills are required for this role.
• The ability to make professional and sounds decisions based on government standard
  operating procedures, regulations, and policies.
• High-level capacity to analyze and make sound recommendations and decisions on
  complex technical processes, data, and acquisition-related requirements associated with
  contract development.
• Advanced ability and experience preparing clear, concise, and accurate reports,
  documents, data entries, and other written materials.
• Experience in being able to gather and convert data into a written narrative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentation development)
  with customers and end-users, and team members.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaborative skills.
• Principles and practices of sound business communication; correct English usage,
  including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Modern office practices, procedures and equipment including computers and applicable
  software programs, such as Google Workspace (Google Docs, Googe Sheets, Google
  Forms, etc), Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership and team building skills.
• Advanced capability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.

Daily Tasks

• Editing, reviewing daily correspondence and other documents
• Formatting, editing various documents
• Excellent understanding of MS Office Suite
• Implement user templates in MS Word

Education

Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
