SUMMARY The Project Manager is Manson’s authorized project representative with responsibility for all aspects of the project including safety, environmental, quality, ethics, financial, contractual, and schedule compliance. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Additional duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Leads and directly supervises employees on a construction site. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Directs best work practices in conjunction with the Project Sponsor and/or VP/Area Manager.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform satisfactorily the essential duties and responsibilities noted above. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEB.S. degree in a technical area of study, typically Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or Construction Management and minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience. Project management and supervisory experience required. Marine, structures, heavy lifts, or concrete construction experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
COMPUTER SKILLSAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook/SharePoint) and be experienced with scheduling, estimating and project management software- HCSS & Primavera, preferred.

This position will require relocations or travel depending on the project location and requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSPosition is primarily a field position, and will require travel, including visits and monitoring of construction job sites. Employee must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments (hard hats, personal floatation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc. The employee is required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to navigate stairs, ladders and gangways, board, work on and disembark floating vessels and structures. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time.
