MDK was born in 2002 when Ted Manley and Brian Deas set out to create a default services law firm. With a little time, a lot of effort, and a huge amount of support, MDK has evolved to blend technology with legal expertise to become a comprehensive legal and professional services provider. What the Executive Director of Operations will do at MDK:

• Collaborate with CEO and executive team to set and drive the organizational vision and strategic operations plan.
• Implement business strategies and translate them into actionable goals that align with our short-term and long-term objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams supporting all lines of business.
• Hold key role in maintaining firm’s cascading communications plan to ensure alignment and enthusiasm for our mission, values, and culture.
• Coach and mentor leadership within the firm to achieve operational effectiveness. Evaluate performance to ensure alignment between the employees and MDK’s vision for success.
• Communicate and provide transparency towards goal progress to CEO, stakeholders, and entire organization.
• Lead research, development, and application of new technology platforms to maximize efficiency and client experience.
• Drive continuous evolution of customer service and customer experience.
• Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process improvement. Implement efficient workflows to maximize productivity and boost performance.
• Embody and demonstrate our company’s values in our everyday work: respect, creativity, engagement, collaboration, and advancement while working in an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Requires a master’s degree in business administration, or equivalent advanced degree in business-related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in corporate management, with at least 7 years’ experience in operations at a senior level.
• Experience in an agile environment or legal environment required.
• Strong analytical, judgment, and strategic thinking skills. Experience developing and managing strategic plans, implementing goals, and building relationships at all levels of an organization.
• Process-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, production, customer service and employee management.
• Collaborative work style. Entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic approach to goal setting.
• Proven ability to effectively motivate and lead employees.
• High level of professional ethics and integrity, ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Exceptional written and oral communication, strong presentation skills.
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Schedule & Benefits:

Our team works Monday through Friday, general business hours. We offer a hybrid schedule, which allows our employees the flexibility to work from home and in the office.
