Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our team at Riviera French Cafe. The ideal candidate will possess a strong hospitality background, excellent leadership skills, and a genuine passion for French cuisine and culture. In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, uphold our high standards of service, and ensure that every guest leaves with memories of exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of café operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and financial performance.
• Lead by example to cultivate a positive and high-performing team culture, providing guidance, training, and support to front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
• Ensure that guests receive attentive and personalized service, and promptly address any issues or concerns to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain the quality and consistency of our menu offerings, and introduce seasonal specials and promotions to enhance the dining experience.
• Implement and enforce health and safety standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
• Assist with marketing initiatives to promote the café and attract new customers, including social media engagement, community outreach, and special events.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a leadership role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively to meet operational goals.
• Flexibility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
