Summer 2024 

Title I Summer Enrichment Program 

Teachers - Rising Kindergarten

(2 Positions Total) 

Qualifications: 

  1. Valid Massachusetts teacher certification in elementary/early childhood education. 
  2. Successful teaching experience. 
  3. Willingness to implement standards based curriculum in Literacy and Mathematics. 
  4. Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and

administrators. 

  1. Experience working in the Malden Public Schools is preferred. 
  2. Applicants must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info. 
  3. ELL Certified or SEI Endorsement preferred. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Administer and score pre/post tests and write anecdotal evaluations. 
  2. Participate in two staff development meetings. 
  3. Plan with other educators during the 30-min. ‘Prep’ period each morning from 8:00-8:30 am.
  4. Implement rigorous and standards-based lessons using core curricular materials as well as targeted, Tier 2 interventions in literacy and math. 
  5. Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records. 
  6. Keep folders/portfolios with student work. 
  7. Perform other related activities as required. 

Duration: 

Program Administration and Implementation 66 hours total to include the following: 

· Professional In-service Days June 17 - 18 (5 hours each day).

· 18 days, Monday - Thursday, from June 24 - July 24 (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.). 

· 30-min prep period from 8:00-8:30

Stipend: $37 an hour, $2,442.00 total

Funding Source: Title I Grant
