Madison County Government offers a competitive compensation package including:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Responsible for maintenance of vendor invoice files in paper and electronic format, and assisting with processing and reviewing invoices (payments due) incurred by the County and its departments as needed for monthly expenditures.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- files quick claim and board paid invoices
- scans quick claim and board paid invoices into an electronic format for archives
- assists in keying invoices in batches including the following information; invoice number, invoice date, description, amount, general ledger account number for County funds and departments being charged, and 1099 information as needed
- assists in verifying invoices keyed correctly by reviewing edits and makes corrections as needed
- assists in filing general ledger vouchers as needed
- assists in scanning general ledger documents as needed
- assists on other departmental projects and performs other duties as assigned within the Auditor's department
- performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Supervision is provided by the Deputy Auditor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A High School diploma or equivalent, some bookkeeping/accounting experience desired, and one year related work experience are required.
