Summary:

The Sales and Marketing Manager is a role that is responsible for helping prospective residents move into Luther Ridge. Position(s)’s primary duty is to meet/communicate with referral sources and prospective admissions and coordinate, gather and synthesize information in order to make critical decisions that achieve set marketing objectives. The ability to carry out this primary duty is necessary for daily and long term business operations. This duty requires that the employee exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance pertaining to the admission process.

Essential Responsibilities – Sales & Marketing:

  • Act as a liaison between the referral accounts/the community and Luther Ridge developing new potential referral sources.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries and conduct walk-in and scheduled tours with prospective residents or interested parties. Responds to questions and resolves concerns of persons interested in becoming residents.
  • Input new applicants into Sales Program.
  • Qualify prospective residents, effectively matching our services to their needs thus maximizing move-in potential.
  • Effectively develop and implement monthly marketing plans that are organized and strategic through geographic planning, completion of daily marketing/admission action plans, targeting account assignments, adherence to account assignments, sales call frequency, strategy for account development, and vertical account development.
  • Assist the Executive Director and Facilities Manager in ensuring that the community, including all available apartments, model apartments, common areas and grounds are marketable and presentable.
  • As necessary, work with the Housing Manager and others in the Management Team in completing the necessary move-in paperwork and tasks to ensure a smooth transition for the resident.
  • Ensures accurate and complete documentation throughout the new resident recruitment and transaction process.
  • Attends all required training, in-service and staff meetings.
  • Creates and nurtures relationships with other Assisted Livings and rehabs to share our services and apartment openings.
  • Responsible for external/internal sales calls/contact with assigned referral accounts based on account priority listing.
  • Sales and marketing activities with minimum requirements set annually based on the strategy developed and individual marketing plans.

o Presentations per month to healthcare professionals.

o Sales calls (scheduled or cold calls) to qualified referral sources.

o Community Events/Programs per quarter.

o Professional Events/Programs per quarter.

o Professional Tours weekly.

  • Responsible to ensure external sales calls effectively and successfully demonstrate preparation, discovery, presentation of features/benefits, handling of objections, and closing skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical skills which support/enhance sales skills and results through: sales delivery, collateral use, product knowledge, knowledge of competitors, identifying challenges and creating/initiating solutions in a positive and effective way.
  • Manage/adhere to marketing/sales budget for the facility.
  • Working with the ED and Marketing department create and distribute collateral materials (brochures, flyers, newsletters, etc.), promotional materials, as well as devising mailing campaigns.
  • Keep current with policies at the facility, rules and regulations of State and Federal bodies.
  • Accept other assignments as appropriate.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • College degree in health and human services or related field or equivalent education and sales/marketing experience.
  • Must be able to clearly and proficiently communicate with people of all ages, while maintaining an energetic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team based environment required.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills required.
  • Occasionally work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of residents and prospective residents required.
  • Knowledge of local state and federal regulations pertaining to resident care and services required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor required.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English required.

Physical/Mental Demands:

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
