We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated marketing intern to join our marketing department. A marketing intern would collaborate with the marketing team in all stages of marketing campaigns. This would include helping to develop, expand, and maintain marketing channels through basic marketing strategy & campaign creation, advertising, event planning, promotional techniques, merchandising, and branding efforts.

This position is located in Middletown, CT corporate office and will report directly to the Marketing Manager. Program duration is planned for 10-12 weeks. Internship program concludes with a Capstone event, including networking with managers and senior executives. 

Job type: Full-time (5-day and 4-day work week schedules offered) 

Marketing Intern Responsibilities:

• Supporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
• Assist in the creation & distribution of marketing communications & materials (e.g., social media, print & digital creative assets, email marketing, promotional items, and web)
• Prepare detailed promotional presentations
• Assist in event planning and management
• Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback
• Research and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content
• Collaborate with vendor partners to develop innovative ways to gain exposure for their brand
• Assist with efforts of customer acquisition and retention
• Develop strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

• Current curriculum progression towards a B.A. or B.S. degree in Marketing, Communications, or a similar field with a 3.0 minimum GPA
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) 
• Ability to translate complex research into common language
• Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
• Organization and time management skills
• Must be curious with an appetite for continuous learning
• Innovative thinking process 
• Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
• Experience with content creation in various platforms, including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, even if not professionally, is a plus
• Microsoft Office 365, including PowerPoint, Word & Excel.
