Overview:

The PPL Business Development Specialis twill be key to CLG’s growth by leading the adoption of integrated solutions by our customers. With your deep technical understanding and business acumen, you will create value propositions that unlock value for our customers in innovative ways.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Participating and leading customer discussions for catalyst sales to provide technical sales support and develop an understanding of the customer’s needs and expectations to exceed customer requirements and increase satisfaction.
  • Support execution of all reload catalyst opportunities through development of the business case for including yield estimates, input on strategy for sales event, preparation of technical proposal and technical appendices, preparation, and delivery of technical sales presentations in customer meetings.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of CLG capabilities including our value propositions CLG Catalyst business and becoming recognized internally and externally as a technology expert.
  • Collect customer intelligence on regional market trends and competitor strategies and products. Provide information to the regional hydrocracking business development leaders, for subsequent analysis.
  • Working in conjunction with the global catalyst technical sales, support launching of new products through identification of target customers, development of business case for specific opportunities including yield estimates, input on strategy for sales event, preparation and delivery of technical sales presentations, coordination of commercial trials and direct customer meeting support.
  • Review loading reports and determine if there are any product loading issues.
  • Responsibility as account manager for all assigned clients
  • Coordinates with all support groups to ensure seamless sale and delivery of products and payment by customer to match terms provided.
  • Takes the lead to solve any customer concerns that arise.
  • Manages or supports business growth projects initiated by the Lummus Technology; continually build relationships with clients at all levels.
  • Represents CLG at national / international conferences & presenting papers with global team support.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in hydroprocessing
  • Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent required. Business degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ Customer facing experience of 5 years.
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Travel Requirement:

Must be able to travel when required including some international travel (up to 30%)
