KLR is a Top 100 Accounting Firm and one of the fastest growing professional services firms in New England. Due to growth, we are seeking a Tax Manager to join our Enterprise Solutions Group, out of any of our offices in Massachusetts or Rhode Island, on a flexible hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key client contact for assigned engagements.
• Perform reviews and compilation engagements for various industries.
• Prepare federal, and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Perform tax planning for clients for year-end, including tax provisions, projections, and extensions.
• Act as a resource for less experienced associates and team members. Delegate work and supervise staff to meet deadlines as well as other metrics.
• Prepare bills and discuss fees with assigned clients.
• Establish good working relationships with all Partners, Managers and staff members.
• Assist with special projects and manage various tasks at hand

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Master’s degree, CPA/EA license or active pursuit of higher education or credentials is highly preferred
• 6 years of experience in public accounting, managerial experience highly preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Possess a strong working knowledge of Profx Tax; Profx Engagement; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word; and QuickBooks
• Knowledge of BNA Tax, and Profx Fixed Assets preferred, but training is available
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet stated deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment and exercise sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.
