SummaryThe Senior Software Engineer will evaluate, identify, and develop software solutions. The Senior Software Engineer will also provide subject matter expertise, advice, and assistance in the interpretation, application, and implementation of system requirements. The Senior Software Engineer will also provide mentoring and essential training for fellow developers.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties:
*Provide technical support leadership to software engineering efforts, including hands-on system design/architecture, code review, occasional hands-on development, DevOps and related process management.
*Actively participate and lead development effort in developing software products and software implementations for company and/or contractual needs.
*Explore and implement new technologies to improve software products quality, reliability and performance.
*Design, Develop and Implement quality improvement solutions for new and existing is house software solutions and applications.
*Review and Analyze specifications for the development, modification, and testing of software applications developed by the firm for use on specific contracts.
*Design, Develop and Maintain commonly used solutions/modules in order to improve efficiency and maintainability of existing and new software solutions/applications.
*Provide subject matter expertise, advice, and assistance in the interpretation, application, and implementation of regulatory and/or contractual requirements.
*Design and Develop unit tests for new and existing applications.
*Actively Support and Maintain existing applications.
Qualifications and requirementsEssential Knowledge:
*7 to 10 years of experience with .NET Full Stack Development using Standard and Core .NET frameworks.
*7 to 10 years of SQL Database design and implementation using Microsoft SQL Server.
*5 to 7 Years of experience with Node.js and Front End Development.
*5 to 7 years of experience with Cloud Platforms (AZURE, AWS, Google Cloud)
*Highly proficient with Devops, Source Control Solutions (TFS, GIT,. GITLAB, GITHUB)
*Hands-on experience with modern scripting languages (PowerShell, Python and etc)
*Hands-on experience with Xunit Unit testing modules.
*Hands-on experience with Microservices, API and Distributed Services.
*Hands-on experience Cloud designing, development and deployment.
*Extensive knowledge of the software development process and corresponding technologies
*Experience with most forms of API integration, including REST, SOAP, OAuth, etc.
*Good understanding of relational database design and database implementation and performance management.
*Understanding of industry standard management frameworks, such as CMMI, SDLC, Agile, etc.
*Understanding of the DevOps process.
*Understanding of coding best practices, such as coding for system security and performance.
*Passion for Software Development

*Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
*Experience with implementation of information technology integrations in a midsized or large division/company.
*Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
*Good logic and reasoning skills to be able to identify weaknesses and strengths of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
Essential Education:
A bachelor's degree in computer software engineering or in any other relevant field. Master's degree, preferred.
Desired CharacteristicsOrganizational "Fit" Considerations:
Must be flexible and proactive in covering and overseeing services provided by the area or function under the Manager's control. This may require extended hours of work during the week, weekends, and on holidays, on demand or in order to prevent adverse situations from occurring. Available to travel as necessary.
