Lewis Tree Service is Hiring a HRIS Analyst Near Rochester, NY

The Centralized Data and Analytics Group’s (CDAG) HRIS/HRMS Analyst will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and analyzing human resources management systems (HRMS) to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR operations and their integrations with other departments. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRMS Analyst also supports HRMS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. The ideal candidate would be passionate about personal technical growth.

What You'll Do…

  • Assists with reviewing, testing, and implementing HRMS modules within UKG UltiPro and JD Edwards Systems including upgrades or patches.
  • Assists with creation and maintenance of data integrations solutions between UKG Ultipro systems and Microsoft Azure Solutions and other IT related systems.
  • Coordinates system upgrades and maintenance.
  • Maintains HRMS system tables and documents processes and results.
  • Provides support for HRMS including researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results, or process flaws, performs scheduled activities and recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Recommends processes/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes, and major variations from established policy for approval.
  • Serves as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders.
  • Manages and prioritizes projects and HR initiatives as needed.
  • Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of reports and queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
  • Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Assists with maintaining data integrity in systems by running queries, analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support and applying key technologies.
  • Examines trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques.
  • Continues to improve both HR and technical knowledge base through classes or other mechanisms.
  • Participates in user group meetings and conferences.

Keys to Success… 

  • Proficient with standard office equipment e.g. computers, phones, scanners, fax machines and copiers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of HRMS database design, structure, function and process.
  • Experience with database tools such as SQL, Microsoft Azure, python, and other programming languages is a plus.
  • UKG Ultipro, JD Edwards, HR Systems experience.

What You'll Need…

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or relevant experience.
  • Three to five years of experience with HRMS or HR generalist or specialist experience.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules and benefit procedures to ensure correct implementation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communications skills including oral and written communications.
  • Ability to work through project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Completion of SHRM or other human resource related professional certification is preferred.
