The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for the daily reconciliation and application of payments received to the corresponding client accounts. Research and resolve unapplied/unidentified cash postings. Responsible for identifying adjustment/discounts taken by clients and forwarding them to the appropriate AR Rep for follow up. Responsible for the daily audit of all cash application transactions to ensure accuracy to the Accounts Receivable. Additional responsibilities include credit card charging/reconciliation/chargeback review.

What You'll Do:

• Gather the daily payment information from the bank website and enter them into a payment log.
• Send out daily emails informing designated departments of payments received for the day.
• Gather the necessary data from the bank website, emails, or third-party websites to perform payment application and reconciliation.
• Post and apply payments to the corresponding client accounts and notify assigned AR Rep of any variances or discrepancies.
• Communicating with clients requesting appropriate remittance details.
• Charge/Refund/Reconcile credit card payments.
• Chargeback review/dispute resolution.
• Perform ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
• Ensure confidentiality of internal and external data.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook preferred
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Cash Applications
• Detail-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive and self-motivated accounting professional, able to think independently
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system
