Job Summary

Prepare reports and provides guidance on grant activities in adherence and compliance to the applicable policy and guidelines; coordinate financial and grants management activities; analyze and maintain financial transactions for legal service programs; track revenues and expenditures; provide grant award analysis and reconciliations, along with internal and external financial reports, and other related accounting duties.

Essential Functions

  • Track revenues and expenditures by funding source and/or subcontract. Reconcile grant and program financial statements to the financial records.
  • Prepare a variety of reports, statements, records, analyses, and financial compilations for Federal, state, and local regulatory agencies as required. 
  • Monitor expenditures and revenues of all federal, state, and local grant programs.
  • Monitor fiscal compliance by subcontractors and sub-recipients.
  • Coordinate financial and grants management activities; serves as liaison with unit directors and program managers for efficient management of grant programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance and/or Management and at least two (2) years of relative working experience in Accounting. Grant accounting experience preferred.
  • Ability to exercise efficient time management.
  • Ability to coordinate and handle multiple tasks, meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate data and prepare financial data analysis.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interact with senior management personnel (internal and external); and to establish strong relationships with co-workers and staff of other departments and agencies.
