Job Summary

The Data and Evaluation Manager will take a central role in presenting findings and engaging Legal Aid of Nebraska to deepen community impact and narrating outcomes of the legal program. The Data and Evaluation Manager will play a supporting role for Legal Aid’s Development Team to provide support for funding requests and reporting on deliverables. 

Essential Functions

  • Design and implement effective monitoring and evaluation of legal work 
  • Develop mapping and documentation of protocols and processes for data handling, storing and sharing
  • Assist in the design, development, and management of report and dashboard solutions
  • Build capacity of staff to improve their collection and use of data and evidence to inform decisions
  • Develop client feedback surveys and collect client feedback on program experience
  • Create policies and processes to ensure tracking of data and capturing of deliverables
  • Develop tools that can be used for external marketing, including data on issues we are addressing and impact insights 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, nonprofit management, mathematics, statistics, economics, urban studies, public health, or sociology, or related field required; Masters preferred.
  • Understanding of outputs, indicators and outcomes.
  • Experience using statistical and visual software including proficiency with Tableau.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint required.
  • Proficiency with quantitative and qualitative data management and analysis.
  • Experience managing complex datasets and data collection systems.
  • Familiarity with Alchemer, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, or another electronic survey platform.
  • Experience working with MySQL databases preferred.
  • Experience in data management, evaluation and impact reporting.
