Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This role requires strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to drive process improvements. Responsibilities:

• Leading all accounting functions, such as month-end closure, accounts payable, billing, and collections.
• Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Developing and implementing robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and uphold accounting standards.
• Ensure that SOX compliance is being met.
• Review and approve weekly payroll and expense reports for accurate coding.
• Prepare annual tax package for corporate.
• Providing guidance and supervision to our accounting staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Collaborating with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory compliance.
• Analyzing financial data and trends to offer insights for strategic decision-making.
• Managing cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Working closely with other departments to support operational activities and achieve organizational objectives.
• Perform monthly commission calculations.
• Keeping abreast of accounting regulations and industry best practices, identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
• Manage capital requests/approvals, fixed asset, and lease accounting.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 9 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Proficient understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with large ERP such as Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Construction background for 2 years preferred.
