Job Overview for Property Accountant
The Property Accountant will be responsible for supporting our full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties.

Essential Job Functions
· Prepare bank reconciliations, variance reports, and other supporting reconciliations

· Conscientious, detail-oriented and produces accurate financial results/reports within required deadlines for company owned and third-party clients

· In conjunction with the Property Management team and the Sr Accountants develop annual budgets and reforecasts to include CAM charge calculations for upcoming year

· Work closely with Property Management team to complete comprehensive monthly management reports; complete detailed financial statement reviews; investigate and explain budget variances; complete additional financial analysis as needed

· Support Sr Accountants to maintain accurate rent roll and lease files

· Accounts Receivable: monitor daily cash management functions; review and bill recurring tenant charges; maintain accurate tenant ledgers; support property managers as needed with collections

· Accounts Payable: review invoice coding and approvals; ensure proper audit trails are in place

· Prepare and process annual CAM reconciliations and mid-year reviews as necessary

· Assist as needed in preparing information for annual tax preparation firms

· Stay current on all Rent Manager, AvidXchange and Pay Lease accounting system processes

Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred

· Minimum 1-3 years progressive accounting experience

· Knowledge of full-cycle accounting, budgeting, auditing, and accounting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

· Experience with Rent Manager a plus

· Ability to have fun and work well in a team environment

· Problem solver with the ability to complete required tasks timely
